Time flies. It's the last day of 2009. So many things happened the past 12 months. Made quite a few big decisions... which i pray that it will turn out great in 2010. Also accomplished many big+little things this year.
Storms of Life
By the grace of God, I had overcome one of the greatest storm in my life this year. It wasn't pleasant... but i realized i learn the most in my pain, and i saw the light of Jesus shining the brightest in my darkest hours. At one point, i found myself smiling in joy (not happiness) while my heart & soul were in pain. I was amazed myself. It was then the Word of God came alive. The joy of the Lord became my strength. He also let me know in my heart that He allowed the pain to come so that i can get over it & heal faster. Looking back now, He is right. If nothing happen, i may need to take a year or more to get over & healed... but with His loving grace & wise plan, i was delivered from it faster than i thought i would need. Within 1-2 months, i was well. (before that, it had been dragged for about 5-6months, and still not healed). GOD's lovingkindness and mercy is really on all His children. =)
SOT
I've enrolled into SOT. Didn't plan about it at all... just came to me suddenly. I was pondering "should i or should i not?" Then this thought came to me: "will i regret if i go?" The answer in me was a firm "NO." I believe it will be a wise choice to invest some earthly time to build on something that will last for eternity. I also wanted to learn more about God's Word, as well as get myself equipped before stepping back to fulltime in the working society.
Work
I thank God for providing me job opportunities to help me to earn some pocket money. Also, He blessed me with a good paying job as a tutor (to pay for SOT) with working hours that can fit into my SOT timetable. God also had been giving me the favor of man at work =)
Graduate
My last semester's exam's preparation was not very smooth. I was juggling between my studies and my tutor-training lessons. I wonder will i make it... but the grace of God sees me through! I managed to cope well & study all that i need. He blessed me with wisdom when i asked. I always claimed this promise: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." [James 1:5] God always made it come to pass! :D I passed all 4 modules with Bs... including 1 subject that i had a hard time answering the questions in exam. PRAISE GOD!
Mummy
My mum went for the op before my exam... which adds on another load to my exam preparation. But God is good. He healed my mum. Me & my sister knew the Hands of God was upon her. While others in her ward (all similar operations) were in much pain, my mum was amazingly well. She don't really feel much pain. Now (after 2 months), she can do most of the usual things (walk, shop, play mahjong, cook, clean abit etc) except for carrying heavy stuff & bending down. We had heard situations of other ppl that went for the same op, but still not well & in pain after 3 months. I really really thank God for His love, mercy & grace upon my family. ^^
Moving on to 2010
As much as 2009 had been quite a challenging but fruitful journey, I am looking forward to 2010 with God Almighty. I wonder where will He lead me in the next 1 year to come. Stepping into the unknown... How exciting!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL OF YOU !!!
GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY!
