Angel

Had a really bad sore throat last Tuesday night. So pain that it woke me up in the middle of the night. The thing is, it is not just the pain that woke me up. I heard someone talking to me. The voice said: "Go drink water... lots of water to help flush down the germs... you will be okay in 3 days." I got out of my bed half awake, stumble to my desk & open my water bottle to drink... then went back to sleep, not paying attention about the voice & who was it.

The next morning, i woke up... and i was reminded of that voice. I can remember the exact words & knowing that he/she was on my left side when i heard the voice. Although i was half awake, the voice & the whole situation was very sharp in my mind. "Who's that???" Then, somehow i felt, it was an angel.

I wanted to confirm... because if it is from God, the words will come to pass... also i wanted to make sure i wasn't just dreaming (the feeling was very different from dreams). So i counted. Wednesday 1st day... means by Friday will be 3 days. Thursday, throat still a little pain. But on Friday, the pain completely gone! How amazing is that! Just as the voice said: "...you will be okay in 3 days."

Totally. New. Experience.

I am touched. Really touched. That God cares for me. Just a sore throat... yet He sent His angel to pay me a visit & give me a Word of "prescription". He indeed cares for us. Every little thing, He cares. He is a loving Father, caring for us non-stop, and sending His angels to guard our steps. We may not see them, but they are around.

For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways. [Psalm 91:11]

The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him,
And delivers them. [Psalm 34:7]

Have a blessed week! =) Anyway, a song by Delirious? ...

Take Off My Shoes

I’ll take off my shoes, I’m coming in,
Untie this rope, I’m staying with Him,
Love of my life, I’ll live and die,
Just for the moments for my King and I.

Why did You call, why did You wait,
For someone so guilty, someone so fake.
There are no words for my beautiful song,
Now I’m in the arms of my beautiful One.

Hold me, blow all the pride from my bones,
With Your fire.
Hold me, breathe on this heart made of stone,
Keep it pure.
Hold me, Saviour of heaven and earth,
King forever.
Hold me, love of my life lead me on,
Through the fire, lead me on...

I’ll take off this crown and fall at Your feet,
The secret of joy are the moments we meet.
How could a man with all of Your fame,
Pull me from darkness and call me by name.

So hold me today, as I carry Your cross,
Into the desert to find who is lost.
Look at my hands, they’re still full of faith,
God keep them clean till we finish the race.

Last Post of 2009

Time flies. It's the last day of 2009. So many things happened the past 12 months. Made quite a few big decisions... which i pray that it will turn out great in 2010. Also accomplished many big+little things this year.

Storms of Life
By the grace of God, I had overcome one of the greatest storm in my life this year. It wasn't pleasant... but i realized i learn the most in my pain, and i saw the light of Jesus shining the brightest in my darkest hours. At one point, i found myself smiling in joy (not happiness) while my heart & soul were in pain. I was amazed myself. It was then the Word of God came alive. The joy of the Lord became my strength. He also let me know in my heart that He allowed the pain to come so that i can get over it & heal faster. Looking back now, He is right. If nothing happen, i may need to take a year or more to get over & healed... but with His loving grace & wise plan, i was delivered from it faster than i thought i would need. Within 1-2 months, i was well. (before that, it had been dragged for about 5-6months, and still not healed). GOD's lovingkindness and mercy is really on all His children. =)

SOT
I've enrolled into SOT. Didn't plan about it at all... just came to me suddenly. I was pondering "should i or should i not?" Then this thought came to me: "will i regret if i go?" The answer in me was a firm "NO." I believe it will be a wise choice to invest some earthly time to build on something that will last for eternity. I also wanted to learn more about God's Word, as well as get myself equipped before stepping back to fulltime in the working society.

Work

I thank God for providing me job opportunities to help me to earn some pocket money. Also, He blessed me with a good paying job as a tutor (to pay for SOT) with working hours that can fit into my SOT timetable. God also had been giving me the favor of man at work =)

Graduate

My last semester's exam's preparation was not very smooth. I was juggling between my studies and my tutor-training lessons. I wonder will i make it... but the grace of God sees me through! I managed to cope well & study all that i need. He blessed me with wisdom when i asked. I always claimed this promise: "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." [James 1:5] God always made it come to pass! :D I passed all 4 modules with Bs... including 1 subject that i had a hard time answering the questions in exam. PRAISE GOD!

Mummy

My mum went for the op before my exam... which adds on another load to my exam preparation. But God is good. He healed my mum. Me & my sister knew the Hands of God was upon her. While others in her ward (all similar operations) were in much pain, my mum was amazingly well. She don't really feel much pain. Now (after 2 months), she can do most of the usual things (walk, shop, play mahjong, cook, clean abit etc) except for carrying heavy stuff & bending down. We had heard situations of other ppl that went for the same op, but still not well & in pain after 3 months. I really really thank God for His love, mercy & grace upon my family. ^^

Moving on to 2010

As much as 2009 had been quite a challenging but fruitful journey, I am looking forward to 2010 with God Almighty. I wonder where will He lead me in the next 1 year to come. Stepping into the unknown... How exciting!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL OF YOU !!!

GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY!

GOD BLESS YOU & YOUR FAMILY!

Job Provision

I found a part-time job! In CLINIQUE!!!

Why am I so happy? Look at my raves about Clinique's products before:

[[CLINIQUE: 3-Step Skin Care]]

[[My Day: Job & Clinique]]

I am still a fan of their products. And my passion for their products might have made me right for the job. The lady who interviewed me was very nice... very friendly... I was like chatting with her rather than like having an interview. haha... cos she asked me why I wanted to join their company... so all my own past-stories/experiences/raves came out. When I think about it, I think I've introduced Clinique's product to most people I came in contact with: Family, Church friends, colleages, ex-& new classmate = all people I know? hehehe...

I really really thank God for this job provision. He indeed is my Provider.

I was quite nervous when I was preparing to go for the interview. Why? I had 2 huge pimples popped out in the beginning of the week. On tuesday, Clinique's HR arranged an interview on Friday for me, and told me to go for interview with FULL-MAKEUP. Of all the interviews I've went before, makeup is w/o an emphasis. So, I was very nervous. I never try to cover my pimples so hard before! Medicated concealer, concealer, liquid foundation, loose powder, concealer, liquid foundation, loose powder, concealer. HAHAHA. Usually I will just don't care de lor. hahaha...

I prayed for God's favor & grace to see me through. If it is His perfect will for me, He will give me the grace & favor of the interviewer. He heard me. =) I also prayed that if it is His perfect will for me that I work there, let them confirm me on the spot - which is a tricky thing for this interview.

Why? Because they held their interview at Takashimaya's KFC. So it is quite unlikely that they will confirm me on the spot... probably need to go back office, discuss, then contact shortlisted ones? But I prayed that they will confirm me on the spot if the job is right for me in His sight. If it is God's will, He will sure have a way.

He did!!! The lady confirmed to take me in right there at KFC! :D I asked a few times "so confirm i got the job, right?" As it is not in office, no documents are sign yet. But she confirmed me right there, and said will ask me to go and collect uniform next week. =)

Another thing. Before my turn for interview, there was another girl before me. And when I sat down, I saw the lady had a long list of applicants... and i was like =.=""" So competitive!?

Praise God for favor & grace! My Heavenly Daddy indeed watches over me. ^^

Just now the lady sms me, saying that I can go and collect my uniform on Monday 4pm at their office... and bring along bank account no. & IC.

YAY! Training should start next week.

Update soon!

May you all have a God blessed weekend!

A Divine Appointment

During my 1st exam paper on May, i met an ex-classmate outside the exam hall. I was early, and standing near the door while waiting for the hall to open... and somehow, i was looking forward to meet someone i know... but no idea why...

Then this ex-classmate came by! We got to chat a little bit. And in that little tiny bit of catch-up, she brought up this tiny issue: we need 30 credit units of Level III courses to qualify for graduation. I DIDN'T KNOW THIS! No one ever told me about it and it never came up in any conversations i had with classmates over the past 2.5 years i'm in UniSIM.

Praise God!!! He let me know this important information just in time!!! What a divine appointment He made for me to meet that ex-classmate of mine! If i never find out, i will go through the semester for nothing, thinking that it's my last semester - but won't be able to qualify for graduation. I will have wasted about $2k of school fees to take another semester. GOD IS SO GOOD to me! He indeed is my Heavenly Daddy who take care of everything for me!

Another hurdle after knowing is that i will need to amend my courses that i've already registered for. Approval is based on 1st come 1st serve basis - which means there is no guarantee that my application for Level III courses will be successful. Some more, I'm replacing/registering not 1, but 3 out of 4 courses. Indeed God is faithful till the end. When He let me know it, He also open the door wide for me. All my 3 requested courses were successful!!! :D Praise the Lord! This means i'm smoothly entering into my final semester! :D

When my faith is weak, He completes my faith. When my heart is far, He is ever near. When i'm deceived by my heart & the evil ones, He gave me His Words to expose the lies & reassures me by covering me with His unconditional love.

HE is an awesome, wonderful & perfect Daddy, Lord, and Friend.

Three kisses for God:
*muacks! muacks! muacks!*

Updates... finally... =P

Just ended my 3 months of temp job last week... was quite nice working at Wiley Blackwell... just that it was a bit far @ Bugis... but overall was quite a nice experience... warm colleagues, clean & huge & neat office... & right amount of work... =) Here are some photos of my last day...

My work station! Totally like the office design here... nice chair, big table, huge space for my bag & stuff... drawers for miscellaneous... :D

The window beside my desk

From right: Lyn, me, ChuiTeng, YeeLing & Shirley

Gift & card from CT & Jamie

With Michelle, the one who interviewed me & was our in-charge ;)

With Lyn, one of the trainers
She is such a bubbly person! Totally enjoyed chatting with her. :) And the sweetest thing: she didn't know i didn't accept the extension for my contract, & was so shocked to know it was my last day when i passed her some sweets after lunch. She rushed out with my manager to get me a gift! Eewww~ I was so touched! Like... she rushed out to buy during office hours lor... when she had like piles of work to do. Sweet~! :)

Oh btw, she & manager got me the 1 type of accessories i don't have & & & was pondering of getting it the past 1-2 weeks! It was a bracelet attached to a finger as ring! I was trying to do that with my anklet weeks ago when i was removing it, and thought that it looks nice! (but i failed la... cos the anklet & ring cannot be attached. lol.) So happy! ;)

*******
God is indeed my provider. For the last few months, He had always been providing for me... financially He gave me a miracle of more than enough, emotionally He gave me unexplainable strength, spiritually He showed me many things i didn't see it before. He is so detailed, so caring, so cool, so awesome, so amazing, so close than the air that i breathe.

He know my every strain of thoughts. As tiny as thinking "will God healed my music player remote control?" Here's the story...

My sister & I bought this Philips music player from Courts sometime after CNY...

After setting it up, I tried on with CD & test the controller... and i realise most of the buttons on the remote control were not functioning! Only can press 'Play' & 'Stop'. I tried many times but to no avail. I was a bit "=_= by then le... cos very mafan just to go back to the shop & explain just for the sake of controller. Then this flash of thought came to me: "wonder will God heal this controller for me or not. I know God can. Nothing is impossible for Him. But, maybe He won't la... cos it's just electronic stuff..." Then few minutes later, I want to turn it on before i go to sleep... so i tried the remote control again... TADAH! It worked! Every single buttons worked perfectly!!! and it is still working now!!! :D I feel so so so taken care by Him! He knows my every thoughts... things that i thought were not that important, He cares & help me with it.

And know what? I am now using my Desktop which is suppose to be dead by now. Few weeks back, for a few days & many times i tried to On my desktop but failed, because something was wrong with the CPU that my monitor kept getting no-signal from it... and hence cannot be used. I called Weizhi e IT expert, and he said probably my graphic card spoil... Ahhh... i didn't backup anything yet!!! All my photos, music, school work data, work related things... all inside!!! :( But about 3 days later on a Sunday, before I went to bathe (which i will start my hmwk after that, using my sister's laptop), I heard something prompting inside of me to pray & believe that it can happen for my desktop as it had happened for my remote control. Honestly, i was faithless la... cos i was like "ohh... okay... i will try to on my desktop before i go and use my sister's laptop... i will try... CPU leh... so much bigger & complicated than remote control... but, okay, God, i know You can do all things. I will just try to on it... the outcome i leave to You. no matter what, You are still God!" Sense my tone that time? Heh. But after shower, i went straight to On my desktop. Again, TADAH! My monitor connected to the CPU!!! The Windows start-up screen appeared before my eyes!!! I tell you, i was so so so thrilled! I literally was jumping inside of me. God is so close! Closer than my thoughts... closer than the air that i breathe! He helped me with His gift of faith! Hence, i managed to do all the back-up i need into a few thumbdrives (i need to exchange my external hard drive. spoilt even before i use it.)

NOW, i am typing... using my desktop of 4 years! :D

The GOD who cares for me cares for you too! The GOD who is so close to me, He is also as close to you. You might not know Him yet, but He knows you - every single thing about you, He knows... and He cares for you like no man can ever did or would. =)

Sudden Financial Blessing

I felt praises overflowing out of me with something God blessed me: Nokia E66

I had wanted to get this phone for a while, so is my sister. However, we couldn't afford the
$348 (handset) + $100(hp plan before 21mths) = $448

Yesterday, I called up starhub to ask for my mobile plan expiration date, it was Aug2009. Which means in order to pay $100 lesser, i can only get my desired hp nx May! Then out of the blue, I asked the person "How come all these years my phone line did not receive any vouchers that starhub will give out to loyal customers?" This qns was not plan. I NEVER think of it. It just POP into my head, like a subtle reminder. I knew it was Him. Anyway, the lady told me she will get the management to check on this matter and get back to me in 5 working days.

The starhub person called today. She said "For both your mobile line & (my sister's line), we will be giving you a special previlage by allowing you to renew your plan anytime now WITHOUT the $100 extra. Plus, we will send you a $50 voucher for each line. We will also send you a $100 for (my mum's line)."

After all the calculation, both my sister & I only need to pay about $98~$148 for our much wanted E66! :D We're thrilled and happy by this sudden financial blessing.

God indeed knows our desires... even things like a mobile phone. Of course, we do not seek for materials which will pass away. But currently, He knew I'll be comforted by this blessing now. He knew my deepest being. This is like our earthly parents whom bought us toys/food when we were young just to cheer us up or make us happy. Will not our Heavenly Father want to do so much more? He is an amazing Daddy who wants to dote on His children.

HE is the best. No one can ever compare.

May you experience His agape love in your life, just as I did.

God bless.
