As a writer and former English teacher, I'm bothered when I hear the wrong word used by people I think should know better. For instance, using "I" instead of "me" or "who" instead of "whom." There's a proper way to use the language, and it makes me cringe when the standard is violated.
There's another kind of incorrect word usage that is far worse. It happens when Christians utter words that fall short of the standard God expects. Whenever we use words that are considered crude, profane, or obscene, we violate God's clear standards.
Anytime we speak any form of God's name irreverently or in a way that doesn't honor Him, we displease Him (Exodus 20:7). If we joke about sinful practices, we are speaking in a way we shouldn't (Ephesians 5:12). Or if we participate in coarse talk (5:4), we bring dishonor to the name of Christ.
James said, "Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. . . . These things ought not to be so" (James 3:10). Such speech is hypocritical.
Controlling our tongue is difficult because it is an "unruly evil" (v.8). For the glory of God, and with respect for His standards, let's watch our words. —Dave Branon

Plan to do my formal report today... and study tomorrow... It's end of wk4 in school... testSSS are going to start on wk6...all the way till exam... as usual our course have test every week... :S Managed to sms huifen that day... remember? she same course as me. she's now working... She can get into university but doesn't want to! I find it quite wasted lor... She did very well in poly i guess because i remember asking her grades before i start poly. Kinda more As than Bs... and no C and below... lolx... pro... haha... Perhaps can ask her teach me... same course and specialise in same area... hehe... :)
Next wednesday is mummy's birthday... think of getting her Gucci Rush perfume... very nice and gentle smell... little tint of vanilla... cool... i love it... haha... seems like i'm getting for myself? haha... i had enough perfume le... time to buy for mummy... hehe... Oh ya btw, my mummy selling Western Food at bukit batok lehz... one of the coffee shop... if you all want to go and eat let me know k? *yumyum*
Yesterday we had Fragrance practical... making orange oil... sUpEr long!!! we start the pratical at 1.30pm and ends at 5.30pm!!! normally practical won't be more than 3hrs... and this prac was 4hrs... tsk... We started off by cutting off the orange skin... and is JUST the skin without the whitewhite thingy... so we cut quite long... then grind the skin with water... and then do distillation... and the distillation last for more than 2HOURS to get 100ml of distillate!!! super longz... then must add hexane to get out the oil... etc... zzz... all of us wait until want to slp le... The previous prac we make banana oil(without bananas)... very nice... :D
After practical, marcus and i rush off to yoga class... lolx... and guess what? he's the only guy in class...! :X all the other guys never turn up... hahaha... anyway, it was fUn! quite lame poses but funny lorx... hehe... :P
By the way, Initial D movie is out!!! JAY CHOU!!! oh my! so suai... my idol... lolx... keke... *cRaZy* i want to watch!!! dunnoe when then free... hMmz... anyone watch already? let me know if it's nice... but anyway,i'm gonna catch it! hehehe... :P
